Digital Cameras & Softwear

Variation of cameras available to us now:

Now days we have a wide variety of ways to take a picture from, Film Cameras, digital cameras with built in video recorders to hand held mobile phones. There are lots of products available It all depends on what you want to use them for.

Mobile Phones:

The use of Mobile phones is commonly used by everyone, even children with almost every one of the having a built in Camera on them with good quality cameras and mega pixels so that we can capture everything on the go where ever we are in the world.  Images can now be sent to News broadcasters and you can be paid a percentage for a image that they use to show on their News if you get it there 1st or you was there as it was happening! This gives everyone the opportunity to be a professional photographer!!!

Digital Cameras:

Most families will have a digital camera at home even if they have a smart phone with a built in Camera. Again the type and style of digital camera you own would be your choice and how good of quality you would want your images.  For normal family holiday images you can buy smaller cameras with about 14 MP upwards these will set you back around £50.00 to £250.00.  Here is an image of a Sony 14.1MP digital camera. For little use from home and good quality images this camera would do for a family and its very user friendly. The control buttons will be simple and easy to follow with a built in flash for night photography.

Film Cameras

SLR cameras are still used by many and there are more modern cameras out now for example the Sprocket Rock 35mm panoramic film camera is increasingly more and more popular. No only do you get panoramic view with this 35mm camera you can also roll the film back and double exposure your images using colour or black 7 white film.  My partner has just ordered me one of these cameras for my Birthday and I am looking forward to experimenting with it.

Professional Digital Camera

For professional photography and keen photographers we have top of the range digital cameras that allow us to get fantastic imagery with built in settings and also manual adjustments so that as a professional you can manipulate your camera to do what you want it too.  DSLR cameras are expensive and range anything from £500.00 to £4000.00 then on top of that you have a selection of lenses and equipment that you would use. Investing in your camera is expensive but worth it if you are working in a professional photography environment.

I currently have a Canon 40D DSRL with 6 types of lenses that I use for various different shoots. The settings on the camera allow me to work in all conditions except for under water & freezing temperatures. These types of digital cameras allow you to work professionally and get good quality images if you know how to control them correctly.
