Colours Restaurant

They already have their own website set up with all of their food listed.  I will be photographing 5 different dishes and then creating a menu with a landscape format on a PDF file.  

The restaurant have stated today that they will have 5 different foods for me to be able to photograph tomorrow. I originally wanted to have an image next to each food however I think that would be to much to put in.  What I would like to do is to also get images of the restaurant and maybe one of their staff if permitted to do so.


I will use the food images taken and then highlight them as the style of the food served at the restaurant.  Under the images i will list the text of the restaurant details & menu.

All images will be shot with a canon 40D with an external flash, images will be shot in Raw/Jpeg for editing purposes.  I will have with me a tripod, a soft box and use off natural light.  i will be asking for all of the food to be placed on a table with glasses and cutlery available for me to be able to use for a background and compositional purposes.

Im looking forward to the outcomes I get tomorrow with the use of a digital camera. The advantages of using the digital camera and not anolog are much greater in terms of post editing.  I will be able to adjust coulors, tone and texture using photoshop CS6 that I have at home.
