Creating my PDF and then taking it to the printers.

Creating my PDF Booklet & Step by step guide on Photoshop

Firstly I needed to upload my images and make any changes to them by editing them on photoshop.  Al of my images where shot on raw files so I needed to convert them to Jpeg.

Once I had edited my images I would then be able to start making my booklet and to do this I followed these simple steps.

1, open photoshop on Mac or PC

2, Go to file – New & select International paper in the dropdown box

3, Size A4

4, Background colour – white

5, Colour profile Adobe RGB – click ok

6, Select image on top tool bar then change layout to 90 LW – Landscape

7, View – units & rulers then change size to mm

8, Zoom in the top left then drag your rulers in 4mm each side then on the top and bottom as shown below.

9, when you have a nice even boarder save as a PSD

10, Do each page of your booklet separate

11, make sure that your text is clear and that your images fit then you will need to form your PDF.

Once I had finnished I took my pen drive to the printer where I asked them to print my document A4 on a glossy paper for me.  The print only cost 60p
I wanted to only have the four pages with the front page being the main page with the name of the restaurant and then the details of the menus available inside followed by the menu its self and pricing.  I have then added for my final page a cut out recipe of the month.

I would find that interesting if I was a customer and this particular restaurant was a place I enjoyed eating at.

Final Product.

My Final images ready for my pdf.

I have chosen 4 images to use as I will only be having 4 pages on my booklet.  The front page will be basic with just a picture accross it with the name of the resturant.  I want it this was so people want to open the booklet and see whats inside and not just looking on the top page.

Here are the images I have to choose from for my booklet. All taken by Julie Morrison
